Here’s an illustration I just did for Jody’s new mixtape at When You Awake.

“We are very pleased to present When You Awake’s first collaborative covers mixtape, We All Go Twang. We put a call out to the When You Awake community and asked musicians to submit covers of some of our favorite songs. 12 musicians responded and we have the fruit of their glorious labors below. A big thank you to everyone who participated and to Patrick Gerrity for the cover artwork. From all of us here at When You Awake, Happy Holidays!”

I did several color ways, most of them very bright. They didn’t fit the aesthetic of the site as much but I still like em.

This is a poster I designed for When You Awake’s Free all ages concert. The show got a lot of local press exposure which means my design did too. It ended up on the LA Times blog and Filter Magazine. It was fun to see. I’d like to thank Jody Osborn and Bobbie Kittleman for all the great design projects.

When You Awake’s 2 Year Anniversary Party

The Alt-Country blog, When You Awake is turning two years old this month and to celebrate they are throwing a party at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles. I’ve done a number of mixtape covers for them which were really fun to illustrate. So I was thrilled when Jody asked me to design their poster for the event. It looks to be quite a fun night with lots of bands. Get your tickets here.

I am Iron Man

I just completed some Iron Man 2 Sketch Cards for Marvel and Upper Deck. I’ll be posting a few over the next couple days.

Every pack of printed trading cards comes with an original sketch by a random artist. They also give the artists a set of blanks so we can draw some on commission. If you are interested in a custom Iron Man drawing email me at info@patrickgerrity.co m.
